1. How long have you lived in Tallahassee? How long have you been at City Church?
Tom and I were raised in Quincy and moved to North Carolina shortly after getting married. We lived there for almost 23 years and moved back to Tallahssee in 2017 which is when we began attending City Church
2. Tell us a bit about your family?
We have been married for 31 years. Tom is a Route Engineer and I work at FSU in Student Business Services. We have two awesome sons that graduated from FAMU and both boys met their wives at City Church! We enjoy being together, with friends and being outside.
3. What made you decide to start serving in Kids?
I (Tina) have always worked with kids in daycare and elementary schools. Our boys have always helped me with my work and spent time with the kids that I worked with. We all have a love for children and we found a niche for Tom with KiDS security so that he could serve in KiDS also.
4. Why does your family love being a part of the local church? Why do you love serving in KIDS? How did you lead your boys into a serving mindset?
It is rewarding for us to serve and there is always a need for volunteers. We have always involved our boys in giving back and being a part of the local church. Tom and I are servers and love to help where needed. Growing up in a serving environment, our boys grew up knowing how to sacrificially serve and also grew a love for serving also. The Bible tells us to serve one another and we have always tried to do that.
5. How has your faith grown since becoming a part of City Church?
Seeing the impact City Church has on the community and being a part of a ministry that disciples families and their growth has impacted us. That along with the sound preaching of the word and how it applies to our daily walks and our family makes us excited to be a part of City Church.
