1. How long have you lived in Tallahassee? How long have you been attending City Church?
I’ve been in Tallahassee for just over 4 years now. I first moved up when I started at FSU in 2018. I started attending City Church at the start of my freshman year, which was 3 years ago, and got plugged in almost immediately. I now serve on the Kids team along with being a Student leader for our college ministry and a group leader for Students.
2. Tell us a little bit about you.
I’m originally from Winter Park, Florida. I was raised a UF fan but eventually saw the light and became an FSU Seminole when I moved to Tallahassee to study political science. I graduated in the Fall of 2021 and I will be starting law school at FSU in the Fall.
3. What made you decide to start serving in KiDS?
I have always felt called to next-gen ministry. I am the oldest of 3 siblings which gave me a ton of training and preparation to work with kids, and I spent two summers as a camp counselor which further encouraged me to be involved in children’s ministry.
4. Why do you love being a part of the local church? Why do you love serving in KiDS?
I love the local church for the fellowship and community I’ve found. Being around so many people committed to discipleship has strengthened my walk with Christ tremendously. Serving in KiDS is especially rewarding because it provides a solid, gospel-based foundation for the kids in our church, as well as childcare for the parents.
5. How has your faith grown since becoming a part of City Church?
My faith has grown exponentially since joining the church. I am surrounded by people who push me to grow and become more disciplined. Serving in KiDS has helped because of the questions the kids ask. Not only do I have to know enough to provide an answer but I have to understand the gospel well enough to provide an answer that makes sense to someone much younger.
