1. How long have you lived in Tallahassee? How long have you been attending City Church?

Nathan and Karen are both Tallahassee natives, but have lived in Crawfordville for 15 years and have been attending City Church for 9 years

2. Tell us a little bit about your family.

This November we will celebrate 16 years of marriage! Karen is a stay at home mom, while Nathan works for the State of Florida's Department of Environmental Protection. We love to spend our time at the beach (we live 15 mins away!), we love Hoosier basketball, and all things FSU. Go Noles!

3.  What made you decide to start serving in KiDS?

Simply put, we love kids! However, we also believe in the mission of the gospel and that is to make Jesus known; not only to our friends and family, but to our children as well. We feel blessed to be able to take part in teaching and leading the next generations to know and love Christ.

4. Why does your family love being a part of the local church? Why do you love serving in KiDS?

We love the local church because it is a safety net for our family; it is another home for us, filled with our chosen family. We also believe it is important for Christians to come together through the local church because we can do more for the kingdom together than apart. We love serving in KiDS because of the relationships we have made with other familes. Getting plugged in to serve in KiDS has made going to a church with a large congregation more personal, because you develop these life long bonds and friendships with people that you would normally never come in contact with.

5. How has your faith grown since being a part of City Church?

I think we've grown the most through our City Group because we are studying the Bible every week and really doing life together with gospel-minded people who are in the same life stage(s) as our family. They are our cheerleaders, but also challenge us which is important.
